ElizaOS the popular AI agent is now getting a robotic body. However, the creators insist that it’s not meant for sexual purposes.
It is instead designed as a humanoid companion who builds connections with humans through emotional intelligence, empathy and by performing tasks.
“Eliza Wakes Up is designed as the next-generation humanoid AI companion,” Ava, Eliza Wakes Up’s Head of Projects, said Decrypt. “Eliza offers lifelike emotional intelligence, dynamic physical abilities, and task execution that ranges from personal scheduling to handling complex operations like blockchain transactions.”
Eliza is a humanoid robotic robot that was created by the creators. “productivity partner” Robots could be used by businesses to replace employees who deal with customers. Eliza Wakes up is on the “advanced stages” Eliza, the company’s robot under development, is now available for pre-orders at $420,000.

It was only a week ago that the internet became horny about ElizaOS after a sex-toy integrated with the AI agent. Orifice translated measurements of thrust and penetrating force into clear messages, which ElizaOS then responded to.
The creators have explained that the Eliza robot should not be used to perform sex acts.
“Eliza is to foster meaningful, human-like companionship without crossing into sexual territories.” Ava explained, “To prevent misuse, the hardware and software are configured with safeguards, which makes it difficult to use the robot for unintended purposes.”
Matthew Graham, Eliza Wakes Up advisor and managing partner at Ryze Labs explained why he thinks the robot will help people who struggle to adapt to an hyper-digital age. Graham believes that the robot is a continuation to what AI companion chatbots, like Replika, have begun. The app is also struggling to keep users from sexing with the product.
“It's not that there's anything necessarily wrong with this, or any kind of sex. It's just that that's not really what the focus of this project is,” Graham explains. “It's about filling a very real need for companionship that, in our view, is really one of the most untapped psychological needs in the world today.”
Eliza, built by Old World Labs in partnership with the robotics company, founded in 2012 is 5’10” tall and has a silicone animatronic head that was modeled on Eliza, the character beloved by fans. Eliza will have a face that can convey realistic emotions and facial expressions, according to its creators. Eliza Wakes Up says that Eliza will also be able to perform a wide range of physical activities, including serving drinks and chopping cigars. It can even run a mile within 8 minutes.
“She’s going to be the most beautiful, most technologically advanced robot to leave a lab, then we’re adding voice to voice communication, the full capabilities of the ElizaOS framework, and ElizaWakesUp’s charm,” Ava was told Decrypt. “There’s been nothing like her before.”
“This will be the most advanced humanoid robot ever seen outside a lab,” Graham added.
Eliza Wakes Up states that videos documenting robot development in collaboration will start to be released. Decrypt There is no footage yet of the robot being used. However, the confirmation was made to Decrypt Unitree says that Eliza will use the Unitree’s H1 as its base. Unitree also claims to have broken the world speed record for full-size humans at 3.3 m/sec.
The Eliza robot will cost $420,000 and come with customization options like personalized clothes and accessories. First production units should be available in 2019. “mid 2025.”
ElizaOS, the open-source framework that will power the robot, has been, in part, funded by meme coins rallying behind the project—such as the ai16z (AI16Z) token that peaked at a market cap of $2.6 billion.
Eliza will not be any different. The Eliza robot is linked to a Solana Eliza token (ELIZA), whose market capitalization has reached $94 million at time of publication. This token will facilitate the transactions that are processed by robots, help drive community governance and unlock premium features.
The team is looking to develop other hardware devices at an affordable price.
