The 9dcc Black Box is the latest on-chain project from 9dcc. It was founded by crypto investor and pseudonymous personality gmoney.
Crypto-native luxury label, whose drop is limited to only 2,750 NFTs, has dubbed it a blend between fashion, blockchain, and mystery.
Every 9dcc Box offers a mixture of digital and tangible rewards. The label Collection-01 includes items ranging from jackets to baseball caps. These items, which blend traditional materials with NFC chips technology, are meant to bring together the physical and digital worlds.

Black Boxes also include points to be used on the 9dcc network leaderboard. This is a feature that has been gamified and continues to exist in the brand ecosystem. These pieces are priced from $95 for the Essential Baseball Cap to $600 for Satin Bomber jacket. The mystery of what the purchaser will receive in their box is another part of this.
CryptoPunk #7429 is one of the most sought after NFTs from the CryptoPunk collection, with a starting price of almost $139,000 in secondary markets.
Only one Black Box contains the Ethereum NFT, and this CryptoPunk wears an orange beanie—a highly sought-after trait in the collection. The data on the chain shows that gmoney paid just shy of $150,000 for the NFT late Monday.
Chances of winning Punk are dependent on the number of boxes that have been redeemed. This leaves buyers wondering if they will be able to win a historic and valuable NFT. Prices of Punk have increased by 69% during the past month due to the rise in Bitcoin and crypto assets.
Gmoney who founded 9dcc 2022 has woven blockchain-based innovation into this line. He frames it as the continuation of growth in the NFT industry rather than its revival.
“Really excited for this,” He told Decrypt Black Box Drop “The sentiment in the space reminds me a lot of December 2020, when I purchased my first CryptoPunk, right before the epic bull run that started in January 2021 with Punks leading the way."
"This drop is a signal that NFTs aren't back," gmoney added. "They never left."
The price of each box remains undisclosed, with the team hinting at additional surprises yet to be unveiled. Further details will be revealed in the next week, the company said.
