Au’s agreement with Department of Justice revealed that she had transferred illegal funds to her personal account, and failed to report these incomes to the Internal Revenue Service.
The prosecution alleges that she knew the source of funds.
Iza (24 years old) was arrested in September 2024 and accused of conspiracy, tax evasion and wire fraud. All three crimes were linked to criminal activity that spanned several years.
The couple used the stolen funds to purchase luxury recreation activities worth $10 million and Iza purchased $16 million of crypto.

Iza is accused by authorities of stealing significant amounts through violent acts, such as a failed 2022 home invasion.

In his plea, Iza admitted to using off-duty Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies to harass his business rivals and engage in unlawful activities, including fabricating search warrants.
Eric Chase Saavedra also faces charges over accusations that he abused his position by assisting Iza to intimidate and steal data on confidential law enforcement.
Iza faces up to 35-years in prison after being accused of extortion and fraud as well as systemic abuse.
Au has agreed to work with authorities. He will receive a sentence along with Iza, whose hearing is scheduled on June 16th.
