Ragnarok Landverse is a massively multi-player online role-playing (MMORPG), enhanced by blockchain, in the classic Ragnarok Online series, that will debut on Ethereum’s sidechain gaming platform Ronin early in 2025.

Ragnarok landverse: Genesis is the Ronin-version of Ragnarok, which was soft launched on BNB Chain. Ragnarok publisher Gravity and developer Maxion have announced that NFT sales of $15 million has been achieved by the Ragnarok game before its Ronin expansion. This is based on over 400,000 registered players.

Ragnarok Landverse offers a similar gaming experience to Ragnarok Online – a popular MMORPG that was launched in 2002. This version, however, incorporates elements of blockchain such as token rewards and mineable resources.

Genesis’ launch on Ronin was considered to be a milestone. “fresh start” for the game, which means that assets from other Landverse servers won't be transferable initially. The servers that are currently on Landverse will migrate to Ronin in the future.

Zentry, Maxion's parent company, will also maintain a validator node on the Ronin network as part of this expansion. This company claims to be building a "metagame ecosystem" Web3 interconnected games. Zentry, formerly known as GuildFi, rebranded in April.

Landverse, the next Ragnarok to debut on Ronin following Ragnarok Monster World. This mobile game is based on Supercell’s Clash Royale. In it, two players control teams of creatures before dropping them to battle in order to overthrow the other player’s base.

Ronin, a popular gaming network on the Ethereum platform is worth mentioning. This is the place to find major cryptogames such as Pixels and Axie Infinity. Sky Mavis created this network. After launching Axie, Infinity in 2013, the network expanded gradually to include games by other developers.

Ragnarok Landverse Genesis pre-registration has opened. Players can now connect their Ronin wallets to receive potential rewards before the game’s launch.

DeLabs Games announced that they would be launching a new blockchain-based game set in the Ragnarok Universe in Q1 2020 via Telegram.
