Last month, a trading card collector discovered a Bitcoin redemption voucher worth more than $100k in a pack of 50 cards.
Purchased online directly from trading card brand Cardsmiths, the Bitcoin card—redeemable for a single BTC, valued as high as $108,786 at one point in January—came from its 2024 Holiday Currency Set, which features festive and crypto related trading cards.
In approximately 1 of every 96 packs, you can find crypto redemption cards. The card in question was valued at a whole Bitcoin.

“This most recent discovery from our Currency Holiday 2024 Trading Card series just shows that any pack pull has the potential to become a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” Cardsmiths’ owner Steve Loney made a public statement.
This set of redemption cards includes not only the Bitcoin card but also redemption cards for Ethereum (ETH), Litecoins (LTC) and Dogecoins (DOGE).
It’s not the first Bitcoin card found in a Cardsmiths pack. But it is one of the biggest redemptions ever made by the company.

Cardsmith’s parent company Tonyk had originally stated that the first set of Bitcoin redemption cards consisted of five. Uncertain if that number includes any future sets. However, at least three complete Bitcoin cards from the multiple sets have been publicly revealed.
Cardsmiths has sold out of all Currency Series packs that include crypto redemption cards. However, the company will be releasing Currency Series 5 as well as SPACE: Galactic Edition in the second half of the year. Random crypto redemption cards are randomly included in every series.
