World Liberty Financial adds $47 million in wrapped bitcoin amidst Trump’s Inauguration

World Liberty Financial, a DeFi platform affiliated with President Donald Trump and members of his family, added approximately 439 Wrapped Bitcoin—or about $47 million worth at the time of purchase—to its balance amid the inauguration Monday.

Ten separate transactions were made by the platform that counts Trump, his children and other advisors as its members. Nearly 47 million dollars worth of swaps worth of stablecoins for Wrapped Bitcoin or WBTC—an Ethereum token that is redeemable 1:1 for Bitcoin. 

WLF holds Wrapped Bitcoins worth $47.3 million. This makes BTC the third largest holding behind only Ethereum. USDC—a dollar-pegged Stablecoin.

The platform’s additions come just one day after its Web3 Ambassador—Eric Trump, the president’s son—foreshadowed action.
